All of the players on this list played for the Yankees during their championship-winning heyday at some point in their career. To put it another way, you won't see any members of the Colorado Rockies, an expansion team founded in 1991, here. In fairness, they started play in the 1993 season.

What you will find are a handful of Hall of Famers mixed in with some names you may have forgotten over the years.

Note: Here's our guide to the most NBA championships.

Players Who Have Won 7 World Series Rings

It's not easy to win a single World Series championship, let alone seven. And if you look at the list, you'll see some all-time great hitters in Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle and DiMaggio. Sure, none of them are Ted Williams, but he doesn't have a ring, so there's that.

What's interesting about hitting is that hitting is what makes baseball one of the hardest sports in the world. Probably no immaculate innings getting tossed by those guys.

Players Who Have Won 8 World Series Rings

Anyone wearing 8 rings won only with the Yankees, the team with the most championships in pro sports.

Players Who Have Won 9 World Series Rings

Besides Berra, DiMaggio is the only player who has won the World Series nine times. Once again, all championships were won with the New York Yankees. The Yankee Clipper won in 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1941, 1947, 1949, 1950, and 1951. Given the years mentioned, he and Berra won four rings together in the late 40s and early 50s.

Players Who Have Won 10 World Series Rings

Only one player has won the World Series ten times, and that is Hall of Famer, Yogi Berra. Berra won in the years 1947, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1956, 1958, 1961, and 1962. One ring for every finger!
